About the Mala Design

This is part of the Spring 2018 collection. I selected this rare cut due to its exceptional variety of color. Within it, we find the bright purples that are popular this season, including Ultra Violet. Significantly, ultra violet is the color of 2018. This mala is a play on color and uses the natural veins of white quartz and iron found in amethyst to create an array of purples. A simple rudraksha seed is the guru. Rudraksha is the mala bead of the sages. Rudraksha holds the wearer in the energy of their yoga and meditation practice. I used hints of sterling silver to add a layer of elegance to the design. Finally, the design has a tassel which includes 7 selections of purple thread to bring out the gorgeous range of purples in the amethyst
