Welcome to my design inspiration page. I have often been asked about my design process and decided to post this page for a behind the scenes look at where my work comes from.
I grew up surrounded by aesthetics and fashion. My mother was a fashion designer in Toronto and founded her own company in 1984. Her fashion designs were on the runways of New York City and Toronto, and sold in stores throughout Canada. In 1990, she became an instructor at the George Brown School of Fashion, until she passed away in 1997. I design to keep her memory and legacy alive. All of my designs come from my daily yoga and meditation practice. As various feelings, reflections, and inspirations arise I transform them, by finding art and aesthetic expressions that speak to me. My designs combine mala beads to express these aesthetics. On this page you will find collages of images, ideas, and aesthetics that inspire my work with mala beads.
